Invalid MS Office Pro Edition 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have purchased a genuine copy of MS Office Standard edition 2007 to replace the invalid 2003 above.
What is the procedure for installation?  Uninstall the invalid 2003 first, then install the new 2007?  Will I lose any data in the process?

  • Hello LOCALBOYCHEF,

The uninstallion program within Office is not programmed to delete any saved documents, email, etc.  However, it's never a bad idea to regularly backup any documents that you cannot afford to lose, especially right before making a major change to your computer.

Just keep in mind that Office Standard 2007 does not have some of the programs that Office Professional 2003 has, so documents made with one of those missing programs will not be viewable once Office Professional 2003 is uninstalled.
