  • Dear Experts,

How to run an .net core web api project with port 80 as default. If we want to run in port 80, does the app need to run with administrator privilege. Is it possible to run without admin privilege.

I have one service running with port 80. From one more application wanted to run port 80 service. how can i do that with out admin priviliage.

help me with snippet of code.

    Thanks in advance.

  • For me, I just install nginx and have it forward requests to corresponding docker containers, each listening on different port.

  • When you publish/deploy the WebAPI program to IIS is when you configure the TCP port it will use. There is plenty of online documentation on how to publish/deploy a WebAPI solution to IIS.

There is a WebAPI forum in ASP.NET forums.
