Windows vista stopped working asking product key activation RRS feed

  • I am Chellappan Ramanathan using Dell laptop with windows vista home primium from last march 07, one month before I had some problem in my system, i couldn't rectify so I reinstalled the system with the CD (Windows anytime upgrade) provided by DELl along with my laptop when I bought. since then the system is asking the product  key, my product key is NO LONGER AVAILABLE ( It is the stiker from the back side of the system), but it is not accept the command is comming like invalid key. I couldn't understand what is the problem. Now the windows stopped working. pls let me solve the problem.

  • You would need to start over and reinstall the original Dell Windows Vista operating sytem that originally came with your Dell computer, then use the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade disc to upgrade. You can only activate the upgrade using the new product key that is required for the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade.  In other words, the product key affixed to your Dell computer is not usable with the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade disc.
