Regarding the per display DPI scaling in Windows 8.1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a query in per monitor DPI scaling in Windows 8.1.

The features has been introduced in Windows 8.1 in which the product has been scaled and would display correctly according to the hardware configuration i.e., Virtualization.

My question is how will true /pm of the product will differ from Windows DPI scaling(Virtualization) ?

For example, IE 11 has true /pm in its manifest file which has its own DPI scaling. In windows 8.1, DPI scaling is also existing by which the product would render accordingly.

What will happen if IE 11 is in Windows 8.1 ? Which DPI scaling will come in to picture ?

    IE 11's true /pm DPI scaling or Windows 8.1 's DPI scaling(Virtualization) ?

    Could you please clarify.
