How do I renew my Windows Live OnceCare? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I got a message that says I have a trial version, but I purchased it. Is Window's OneCare no longer available?

  • If you are reinstalling One Care select the purchase or subscribe button and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password associated with your existing account. If you are installing from a newly purchased cd see this post - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecaregeneral/thread/81996436-edad-41ba-bdfc-02fc094e2ca9

  • I am not reinstalling, I already have the program up and running, I just need to renew my subscription, I have received a message saying that it is due for renewal.

    Thanks Jim

You can no longer renew a OneCare subscription. If your subscription is expiring, you'll need to remove OneCare when it expires and switch to an alternative security solution as noted in the post Jim referred you to.
