How to activate window 7 utlimate without product key? RRS feed

  • i download snow transform pack on my laptop which opened with window media player

    then whatever was i ,it was window media player, then restore my laptop . when i restart my window was not activated.

    now i do not have product key with me , what to do???????

  • What were you trying to accomplish by reinstalling Windows?

    You need the product key. If you purchased your Windows from the Microsoft Store online then all you need to do is log into your Store account and retrieive your product key.

    You can extend the grace period for up to 120 days total (in 30-day rearms of the activation wizard) but that's a temporary measure. After that you MUST enter a valid product key. To re-arm,

    Click Start, type "slmgr -rearm" and hit Enter. This resets the grace period to 30 days. Wait until this grace period ends, of course, before rearming.

    Time remaining: 4740 minute(s) (3 day(s))

    Remaining Windows rearm count: 3

    Then wait until the 30 days are up before rearming again. Etc. Once the rearm count reaches zero you will be out of grace periods. You will not be able to get more. By then I hope you are home and can retrieve your key.

    You have two problems
    1) Your Product Key for Windows is the Default (Keyless Install) Key for Win 7 Ultimate
     
    2) Your installation of Office is non-genuine.
     
    From the look of it, your system was supplied with Windows 7 pre-installed – for which edition of Win 7 is it licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?
    I suspect that it is Home Premium – have you at any time attempted to upgrade the system to Ultimate? Have you had to take it to a repair shop, where they reinstalled the OS?
     
    If your machine is only licensed for Home Premium, as I suspect then you will have to reinstall using the manufacturer’s Recovery system, or purchase a Full Retail license for Ultimate and use the Key from that to make your system genuine again.
     
    Your Office installation should be uninstalled, and replaced with a genuine copy.
