Outlook not working Onecare through VPN RRS feed

  • Hello, Since we installed Onecare my Outlook will not connect through my VPN. I can connect to my VPN with no problem, just not outlook. Our regular mail with outlook doesnt have any problem. I have the same problem when I use my work laptop, I connect to the VPN with no problem but Outlook will not connect. Is there a setting that i need to change?

  • Is the work laptop also using OneCare? It isn't clear from your post if both PCs are experiencing the same issue. Basically, if you are able to establish the VPN connection and use it for other network applications, with the OneCare firewall enabled, OneCare should not have any impact on Outlook. You can turn off the One Care firewall and see if that resolves the issue, but I suspect that the problem is with the VPN connection and/or Outlook - not OneCare. When the VPN connection is active, Outlook should only be able to use that connection, so the VPN host needs to know how to route your email send/receive traffic.
