Question

i am representing a publishing organization, and one of our client (an author) wants us to publish a book which is about a character "tom" and the story goes around about the details of tom playing the game Minecraft. thus the story reveals a simple sketch or the concept of the game-play. and i am aware of the fact that Minecraft was acquired by Microsoft a few years ago, i have been going through all of the online contents and guidelines available for the concerned matter yet i still haven't got a clear understanding of the subject in our particular scenario and thus i need to talk directly to a relevant department of Microsoft or Minecraft to get confirmation, and i can't overlook a clear permission because such an act could possibly result in a claim or suit which won't be in best interest of my comapny and our client. and also that for last two days i have been looking for a any online forum to get connected with any of the contact centers of the both the companies yet i couldn't find any suitable forum. so now the question is to whom should i contact? and where? and especially how can i get connected to such concerned department of Microsoft as Microsoft is the parent company of Mincecraft now?

From Dave's link I found this:

For uses not covered there, that page suggests checking at mojang.com. There is a contact link at that site.
