CRM Default $ Exchange Rate RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are a UK based company and have both UK and US based customers and our default currency is UK Sterling.  For those customers paying in dollars - could you please let me know how often the $ exchange rate is updated or whether it's up to us to change this when required.

  • Hello Anna,

The exchange rate in CRM has to be updated manually. However, there are some third party tools which can automate this process for you. Check this

  • I am going to update the exchange rate manually on a monthly basis which will be sufficient for our requirements.  Both the US $ and UK £ are showing as active - I have changed the $ to reflect the exchange rate today - do I need to choose - Action- Activate to apply the new exchange rate?

  • Hello Anna,

When you configure the exchange rate, all you have to do is save and close.

Once you have done that, if you want to see the money field in your base currency please ensure that you add "Base Currency Fields" on the form. The exchange rate which you have configured will calculate the amount and update.
