ACTIVATION OF WINDOWS 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was running windows 7 then upgraded to 8.1 when I upgraded to windows 10 it installed windows pro which is not right.

the upgrade should have been to windows home so I can't activate windows 10. Can I uninstall windows 10 pro and then upgrade to windows home? If so will I lose all my apps and information? I totally don't understand computers so whatever I need to do will have to be very simple and no nerd language. So any help PLEASE may it simple with step by step instruction.

    Thanks Everyone

  • Which edition of Windows 7 did you have? Which edition of Windows 8.1? Was the upgrade done by download or using an Upgrade or Full Retail pack?

To be able to uninstall Windows 10 this must be done within a month of the install - if you're over this limit you will have to reinstall from scratch.

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.
