Why havent anyone thought of this? if it has point me to the right direction RRS feed

  • I was wondering if anyone has ever thought of this?

I like the idea of RAID, using two drives to make the data write and read faster by splitting the data across the two drives. But, Raid has its down side which cuts storage capacity 50% and data errors are common.

But, I was wondering if anyone figured out to install windows OS on two seperate drives. Like splitting the files, moving half to another drive so that once windows first loads, it check the other hard drive for identical files and loads from both drive at the same time, giving a raid read performance without the down side.

For the regular programs it will be installed and load regulary from the single primary hd.
