Polycom CX700 and LG-Nortel will not stay connected to OCS2007

Question

We currently have 3 enterprise edition pools set up in our environment. We recently moved all of our user from LCS to OCS. Everyone is able to connect fine through MOC using Automatic configuration. Our _sipinternaltls SRV record still points to an LCS 2005 pool, but that pool is redirect clients to OCS just fine. (We're changing this soon.)
I have 2 "Tanjays" on my desk the Polycom CX700 (v 1.0.522.34 (1.23)) and the LG-Nortel Beta Device (v 1.0.199 (1.23)).
When I plug the Polycom into the network and boot the device I see the following on the device:
1. Microsoft Office Communicator Phone Edition boot/splash screen
2. Sign in... Acquiring IP address... (The date and time on the device says 1:00pm Wed 6/20)
3. Contacting Time Server
4. Connecting to Office Communication Server...
5. Authentication completed. Retrieving user information...
(then the devices flashes and the time updates)
6. (Some other message flashes too fast to read then) Acquiring IP address...
7. (after a long period of time) Cannot get IP address. Contact your system administrator.
The phone is apparently making a connect to the OCS server because I can run a query on the "Database" tab of the pool during this time and see "CPE/2.0.6500.0 OCPhone/1.0.522.34 (Office Communicator Phone 2007)" connected. But when the time updates it goes back to the Acquiring IP Address screen and will not connect again.
I've also tried to do a debug session on the server for all SIP traffic during this time, but find no relevant information in the logs.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Why does it connect and then drop and say it cannot get an IP address?

You should definately update your SRV record
Did you also publish your CA cert in AD for download into phones?

I am having exactly the same issue!
SRV record is absolutely fine.
The same phone authenticates properly with few users and does not authenticate with two users only (one of them is mine!). On any other device, including OCS Client itself, there is no problem with absolutely all users.
Please help!

Dave,
Only firmware version 1.0.522.101 and later will login to OCS R2. Have you setup your update service yet?

Drago is correct. These earlier version of OCS phone edition are pretty unpredictable at best and you should upgrade them to the latest version. I have a list of resources on my blog site for upgrading the versions you have using the OCS R2 update service:

Good luck.
