OneCare will not accept my renewal RRS feed

  • My OneCare is about to expire (18 days).  I just tried to renew it on line (actually I have been working at it for over an hour).  It does not accept my order when I try to use a credit card.  It tells me the following:

    "Please correct the information in the boxes marked below with (a symbol)."

    "We found existing account information with your e-mail address.  The available information from that account has been added in the boxes below."

    It will blank out my credit card number as well as the card verification number.  It then says the following about the phone number:

    "Area code & phone number:
    Please verify that you have entered the correct information"

    So it appears to be hanging on the phone number.

    Can you help???

  • Go to billing.microsoft.com, sign in using the Live ID and password associated with your One Care subscription and then select "Go to personal information" and select "Edit personal information". You can then edit any personal information which is incorrect or has changed. After making any necessary changes try renewing again. If this does not work support should be able to help.   • I have changed the personal information and included my standard phone number.  I still get the same issue.  I also tried using a different credit card and it still is an issue.

    How difficult is it really to take a credit card number, authorize it and renew my contract??? Microsoft, you don't get it....

    Anyway, I am trying email support now.  But that says I might not get a response for 24 hours.
