New hard drive in Client PC RRS feed

    I needed to format a hard drive so I put it in a WHS Client PC.  Cute every PC said Bob has a new hard drive would you like to back it up?  I closed the dialouge cause I was going to remove it.

    I hope after beta my yellow house will go away <wink>

    I don't get it. Are you say'ng that a new drive in one client showed up in all the other clients?

    I think what he's saying is that when he put the new drive in one home PC connected to WHS, he got a popup on all home PCs telling him that a drive had been added to "Bob" and would he like to configure a backup. I'd call that a bug, personally. I'd say it should only appear on the PC the drive was added to.

    Yeah thats a kinda stupid thing to have happen.  The alert should be on the Computer that the drive was put in; and personally i think also on the server for administrativw purposes.

    You going to report it as i'd like to comment.  Can you leave a link when you do. Thanks.
