I want to know the speed for syncing files by mesh RRS feed

    Hi Folks,

         I would like to use the Live Mesh to sync files in different locations, i have tested the Copy/Paste between remote desktops, however, the 2 computers are in the same LAN, so i think the referring value is not high. Now , i have an enviroment as follows:

    2 PCs with 2M-ADSL in Nanjing and Beijing (the 2 cities in CHN , like Seattle and San Francisco. :-)) , and if I try to sync the large GBs HD movies between these machines, would you pls tell me the expected time to complete syncing work?

     

    P.s. Assuming the size of the movie is 10 GB.

    It will take 0 minutes as the limit for a single file is 2 gigs using the Sync capabilities of Live Mesh.

    You are desribing copy/paste between machines while connected via Live Desktop, though, and that will transfer at the speed of your connection which can be impacted by any number of factors between the two machines.
