Re-installing Windows 8.1 with missing data and without device

  Hi,

  I have some problems with my laptop. Which basically makes me want to re-install OS Windows 8.1 on my system. I bought the laptop with Windows 8 and updated to windows 8.1. If I am doing the system recovery it says "some data are missing, please use a boot device" or something. Unfortunately I dont have a boot device but the product key of my current OS. Until now I could not find a link to download windows 8.1. type in my product key and reinstall windows on my laptop. Any help would be highly appreciated.
