How can I export my Microsoft S & T 2013 route to my Garmin Nuvi 50?

  How can I export my Microsoft S & T 2013 route to my Garmin Nuvi 50? I have researched this for days & have come up with nothing! There has to be a way that I can bring it into my unit. I already copied the route into the GPX Folder.  This is very frustrating.  If it was Garmin Unit specific the product should say that on the package!!
