Cannot RDP into Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having trouble connecting to a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Standard via Remote Desktop Connection.  My system is Windows 7 32-bit.  I've configured the server to use both user authentication (NLA) and server authentication.  However when I try to connect from my system, I receive:

    "Certificate errors

The following errors were encountered while validating the remote computer's certificate:

A revocation check could not be performed for the certifcate

You may not proceed due to the severity of the certificate errors"

I can RDP into the server from a Windows Vista 32-bit machine, also another Windows 7 32-bit machine, also a Windows 7 64-bit.

Any assistance would greatly be appreciated

  • Also, I've discovered that systems that are joined to the domain or was once previously joined to the domain are able to rdp into the server.
