Windows Office is Authentic RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have the original Office XP SBE disk set and product key on my desk. This is absurd that you do not allow authentication and I have to waste my time with this problem.
    I have had several companies. This was purchased by one of the companies that was then folded into another company. this is the message according to your request.

  • Hello Digitalrx,

    Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
    Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2
    OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
    Signed By: Microsoft
    Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1

    At the moment your Dell Dimension 5100 computer does NOT have an installation of Office XP Small Business Edition; it has a Volume Licensing edition of Office Professional 2003, and that installation was done with a widely pirated and now-blocked Volume Licensing Key.

    To correct this problem:

    1.  Using the Add or Remove Programs applet of the Control Panel, uninstall the nongenuine installation of Office Professional 2003.  Restart the computer twice.

    2.  Using the Office XP Small Business Edition CDs and Product Key you have, install Office XP normally.  Restart.

    3.  Visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button to clear the OGA Notifier cache and ensure that your Office XP SBE validates normally.

    4.  Visit Microsoft Update and run it as many times as necessary to download and install necessary updates for Office XP SBE.

    5.  Post back here to let us know how you do :-)
