Cannot post to WP - server 500 error (Content, title, and excerpt are empty.) RRS feed

    I have been using WLW for 4-5 months now. Recently I started getting errors and am not able to post anything.

    The first error I got said blog does not support pictures and asked me to configure FTP. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so went ahead and added the FTP information.

    After than, it is giving a new error message saying server 500 error with the text "Content, title, and excerpt are empty.".

    my site is faisalzahir.com. I am using WP 2.7.0. I have not upgraded WP ever, and am using the same version of WLW (the current version) since beginning.

    I moved from Houston, Texas to India recently. I have not been able to post anything using WLW since I came to India.

    Can anyone please help.

    Hi Brandon,

    Yes I was able to solve the problem. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I found out that my site was compromised by the martuz.cn virus. After cleaning my website of the virus, my WLW started working properly again, and I didn't have to use ftp as well. Things were back to normal.

    Were you able to fix this problem?  If not, try updating WP and disableing plugins.  I am guessing the combination will help.
