Audio conferencing using RCC RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I am using RCC and both incoming and outgoing calls are handled properly (including hold/retrive functionality), but I could not find way of activating conference from the communicator.
INVITE. "Invite Someone..." menu item is grayed out.

    Thanks,
    Boris

  • If I am not wrong then it's by design...

  • Thanks for your response

I hope it is not by design, but rather temporal limitation.

I found another thread about conferencing using RCC.

I hope this issue will be solved soon and all flavours of CSTA conferencing will be supported,

    Thanks,

    Boris

  • Hi,
I just found out that conference using RCC was supported in previous version of Communicator (OCS2005 SP1), but it is not supported in OCS2007. May be somebody knows the reason  for that?
    Thanks,
    Boris

  •

Microsoft has slowly but surely been dismantling the RCC feature-set and moving is towards a product targeted directly at Enterprise Voice capabilities.  I'm not exactly sure why, but that is a shame.

  • Hi, Jeff
It is shame indeed. Did you notice some other RCC features that have been removed?

    Thanks,
    Boris
