Current Wireless n streaming devices? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking for a good wireless n streaming device. Currently I'm using WHS going through a wireless g router that streams content out to an XBox360 (equipped with the wireless g adaptor). This is fine for things like xvid and divx (using Orb), however the quality is downscaled due to the transcoding.

If I try and upscale the transcoding, the wireless doesn't appear to be able to feed the 360 quick enough, so I'm stuck in a constant buffer state with being able to get small blips of content every so often. It's frustrating. Not to mention that I'd like to stream HD trailers and such from my WHS shares to the living room.

Any wireless n devices out there yet? Or is it a bit too soon?

  • Well, theres the newest airport extreme from Apple.  I'm not sure what the 360 could use though.  I haven't heard of any .n wireless ethernet bridges out there.
