Computers cannot be verified RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem that's getting a real pain in the ass.

When trying to install the connector on new PC's, installation fails stating that the 'computer cannot be verified'. It also happens after reinstalling the connector on PC's that are allready in the network. Existing installations are fine.

So I went on the net and tried to find a solution. I almost found one here: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/whs2011/thread/71708425-bdbb-44c7-a280-ec3f7b51ca03/

Did what it said and the connectorsoftware installed fine. After restarting the client, the client pc did not come online. Backup does not work, the TV archive function in MCE neither. It tells me that the computer cannot be verified. So close....

The RDP works fine. All shared folders are too. It took me ages to configure the server just the way I want it, so I am hoping that someone knows the answer. I'm guessing the problem lies with the server because every client has the same troubles (Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit, Win 7 Pro 64 bit, Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit etc).

Oh. And I tried to renew the certificates. It just did so, no cure though. Anyone?

  • Yeah, I did. I always update within the week. And it seems my problem isn't in the list of things that got repaired.
