Simultaneous ring of MOC and Cisco IP phone RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running CUCM 6.x with integration to OCS.
The issue we have is this (if it is even an issue).
When a call is made to an IP phone rather it be initiated from internal of external, the MOC client will not ring.
Example:  My cell calls XXX-XXX-XXXX (DID) the Cisco IP phone rings, the MOC shows the call, but no audible from MOC.  If we call IP to IP phone, MOC will show the extension (no name), IP phone will ring, but no sound from MOC.  If we call MOC to MOC, we get the ring.  Is it possible to make the MOC client ring, when a call is made to the IP phone?

    TIA

  • Hi,
How are you trying to integrate CUCM with OCS? Are you doing a direct SIP trunk - or remote call control?

If you have a direct SIP trunk between CUCM and an OCS mediation server, you will get audio when you have the IP phone also ring MOC.

If you are doing RCC, then MOC will never handle audio - it is just doing signalling with CUCM and CUPS - and remotely conrolling the IP phone. RCC isn't meant for audio to go through MOC.

Can you elaborate on your setup?

    Matt
