Hello, I am looking to build a lab at home so that I can get a lot of hands on training on server 2012 because I want to train for the 2012 MCSA certification. I don't have much experience with server and would like to get plenty of hands on training at home by building my own lab but I would like to know where I can get a book that has lots of hands on lab training.

As a first step, I suggest that you explore some of the free TechNet Virtual Labs, which provide instructions along with ready to use VMs running in the cloud:

You can then try to reproduce the same steps or configurations in your own virtual machines, if you decide to install some.
