Connection problems with the Community Bridge

Question
-
When I'm trying to get NNTP access to these forums via the Community Bridge, I'm getting an error message stating the following: "[The e-mail address of my Microsoft account] fail to log-on. Error Msg: Network error. Please check the network connection and try again."
Does anyone have any information on this?
For what it's worth, with another Microsoft Live ID I can't sign into Hotmail via Outlook. (I can access the account directly at Hotmail.com.)

I have not yet tested it with IE10... regarding the LiveID-Authentication: I only use a pre-compiled offical Microsoft DLL to do the LiveId authentication... Is IE10 really the problem? Can someone verify this?
By the way: If you have problems with the bridge, and if you do not know if the bridge or the web-service causes the problem, you should start a discussion or add an issue at codeplex!

I should have clarified that the problem I mentioned (in my first post) with accessing a Hotmail account in Outlook 2010 was also resolved once I had reverted to Internet Explorer 9. So it appears that a problem with two different Live IDs in two separate applications were fixed by reverting to IE 9. Circumstantial evidence, I suppose. :-)Note that I never had a problem signing into the Technet/MSDN forums directly in IE; nor did I have a problem signing into my Hotmail account via http://hotmail.com.
I'll remember to post at http://communitybridge.codeplex.com the next time I encounter a possible issue with the Bridge. Thanks!

The problem is still unresolved. On my home computer, the Bridge claims I don't have an internet connection, which I do. On my work computer, it works just fine. I have no idea what is causing this problem.

Which bridge? If it's Jochen's you could try the Debug tool for more detailed symptoms. FWIW I remember having a rather obscure symptom by having Work Offline set. Not even the Debug option helped much with that. (I use Work Offline to stop WLMail from doing a automatic get of headers.)
Hmm... I just started my bridge for this forum. (Haven't used it in a long time.) And Debug shows this:
Received: Response: 403 Archive server temporarily offline
However, I suspect you aren't even getting that far. E.g. probably having a problem authenticating with your Live ID. Kai has a FAQ item about that IIRC. E.g. try recreating your AuthenticationBlob?
Good luck

It's the community bridge, that is, Jochen's. As I wrote, I can't even sign in, so debugging isn't going to help. I have already deleted the authentication blob, but I never get so far that I get an option to recreate it. :-(
I have been thinking about the problem, and all I have done over the past few days is install Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7. Why it would cause trouble with the Bridge I have no idea, though.
Thank you for your suggestions!

OK, I still don't know what caused the problem, but a workaround turned out to be uninstalling Internet Explorer 10 and revert to Internet Explorer 9.

Not for logon. What about my 403? ICIM my IE10 is using EPM which should make any compatibility issues even worse.
FWIW this time I seem to have gotten further. In fact, it looks like this one is my fault:
Received: Command: NEWGROUPS, Parameters: 101018 213818
DataReceived failed: Exception:
Type System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException
Source: mscorlib
Message: Could not connect to http://ctp.services.social.microsoft.com/ForumsServicePreview/ForumsService.svc. TCP error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 65.52.103.93:80.
I don't remember exactly how I did that hack or why. Oops.In any case, proof I think that IE10 is not a problem with the bridge. ICIM bridge version is 1.1.40.0. I'll try this again later on W8 where I hope I have a cleaner environment.
Oh boy, that was really stupid. I picked the wrong account to test with. As well as trying to work with the CTP forums I was linking in a proxy server which I hadn't started. Oops.
Ok. Now I have successfully downloaded new headers from the Microsoft Feedback forum. Actually not so "new": 56 from last August? WTH? In any case, that will be a different issue.
FYI
