windows media player size RRS feed

  • Question

  • On my XP system I have Windows Media Player 11 and Windows Media Player 11 Runtime. I am having issues with disc space and cannot really afford a new machine or even an external hard drive at this time. My add/remove programs utility tells me that EACH of these two programs takes up 355 Mb of disc space; each more than twice the size of anything else on the list. Is that right??? And are they both necessary?

  • Hello Horace Vandergelder.

I suggest you to ask this question in the Microsoft Community Forums for Windows at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp.
I also suggest you to empty the temporary files folder and to delete all of the temporary Internet files to free some disk space.

    Bye.

As it's off-topic here, I am moving the question to the Where is the forum for... forum.
