Windows Server Administration Fundamentals Exam 98-365 Retiring

    Question

  • I know this MTA exam was supposed to Retire in July 2016 and Microsoft extended it now to 2017.  My issues is that all this material is for server 2008.  My question is, will this exam be updated for newer servers (2012/2016) or is that the end of Windows Server Administration Fundamentals?  I really don't want to waste the time and money for a certification that will be retiring in less than a year and newer version comes out that would be much more beneficial.

Thanks for any info about this.

  • Do we have an answer to this yet? I'm in the same boat. I'm ready to begin studying, but i'm wondering if this is going to be updated to Server 2012?

  • Nope not yet.  I don't think we will until the exam retires.  In the meantime, I am going after other certifications.
