Re-enable task manager RRS feed

    Hello all,

     

    I need some help. I am login as administrator. And my task manager was disabled. I went to regedit and delete the "disable taskmgr" but if I close the regedit or refresh, it will come back.

     

    I know this is because the machine was infected by a "PC Protection Center" program, which was not installed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    I am having the same problem with my Windows XP Home Edition.  I, also, am the administrator and cannot even pull up the Task Manager to enable it.  Have you resolved your problem, Gene?  If so, please help me.  Thanks,
