    Hi,

     

    will vail support backup to tape ?

    Vail has a built in ability to backup the server and shared folders onto USB hard drives. It doesn't support tapes as a backup target.

    Since Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 do not have native tape support for backup, this pretty much precludes having it in Vail. It's not out of the question that some third party might make a tape backup option available, but with no native tape support, it's unlikely.
