Import Users from CRM 2011 (On Premise) to 2013 (On Premise) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

I've deployed a new CRM2013 test environment, but want to migrate/import all of the users from my previous 2011 environment. Is there a migration tool available for this? how have you managed this task?

    Regards

    D

  • I actually achieved this by exporting the users into a CSV and then reimporting them, was very easy

  • Hello,

I'm afraid that there is no way to migrate users. You will have to create users manually. You can use Bulk Create user functionality.

  • If you have one of the general migration tools (e.g. SSIS extensions from kingswaysoft or cozyroc, or maybe Scribe), then you should be able to import systemuser records. Note that you'll have to include all system-required fields, such as licensetype. If taking this route, you can assign users to roles via the Associate method (if the tools supports it)

  • hi D,

you can restore your CRM 2011 organization into CRM 2013 using organization import. Please see the following article.
