For about 4 month ago did a note came up on my screen when I working on my laptop with Home edition and it told me I need to boot my computer.
I did it and since then have bitlocker been on and I have no recovery key or have no Microsoft account where the key-number for this computer is written.
After some turns between Microsoft and ASUS company did it end up in that ASUS took my laptop to Holland / Netherlands but there they told me my laptop had got water in it and it was a lie from their support workshop as I had no hardware problem but a software
problem.
They send my laptop back to me and as they said they had open the laptop did I thought the bitlocker block was gone but it was still there.
ASUS could not help me to solve the problem and it can be both a hardware problem and a software problem but I think an upgrade from Microsoft caused my problem to get bitlocker active and Microsoft should have a solution for us that didn't active Bitlocker
and in that way have no recovery key.
My laptop is my private computer and I never use it outdoors.
Is it possible to get a key from microsoft if we can show you that we own our computers and am not in any sensative network ?
I have a hope Microsoft will help us as you are saying that home editions do not have a bitlocker.
My laptop doesn't response in anyways. It doesn't allowed me to clean my harddrive or recover windows 10 as it was from start windows 7 on it.
I have tried to find a solution so I can get back the book I wrote when suddenly bitlocker get active on my home edition.
