How to install Spanish (Mexico) and not just Spanish (Spain) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Microsoft Word 2013.  I have Spanish (Mexico) installed as an editing language for proofing.  However, only Spanish (Spain) shows up as a language for the Translator.  How can I install the Spanish (Mexico) language and use that rather than Spanish (Spain) for translations?  Thank you for your help!

  • Hi Tekniloco,

The editing languages on Word do not map to languages available for translation therefore installing Spanish (Mexico) did not add it to the languages available for translation on Word.

We currently do not support a locale-specific translation language for Spanish, but your feedback is noted and we have ongoing research efforts about supporting the same.

    Thanks

  • Please add one more request for es-mx. My customer needs this to support their employees and customers in Mexico
