  • Hello,

I looked at you last thread (it really is better if you keep the same issue in the same thread instead of making new thread each time). In the lest thread you stated:

"Well I´ve tryed the "net start slsvc" step, and actually, it worked. The internet explorer window said the validation was sucessful, but even this way , I couldnt open control panel or print. Then I tryed to reboot pc........... and then when I was gonna check about the validation ( on microsoft.com/genuine), it said it was not sucessful.
    What should I do then?
     "

When I first looked at your Diagnostic Report, I saw the "TTS Error: K:20090123203248053-M:20090123201042769-" error line.  This indicates a Mod-Auth tamper.  When a tamper occures the Software Licensing Service automaticly turns off.

    However, the TTS error is from year:2009 Month:01 Day:23 Time:2010 (8:10pm) and 42769 millisec
The TTS time stamp should update each time the error occures so if you were currently experincing a Mod-Auth tamper, the TTS would have shown a date/time closer to current (not 10 months old)

Because of the old TTS error, I assumed the issue was the Software Licensing Service stopped (and won't restart) issue. But since the Service started without error and didn't immediately stop again, that diagnosis appears to have been incorrect.

But at this point, your Diagnostic Report is so convoluted with current and past issues I really can't diagnose what the issue truly is.

At this point I can provide a couple options:

    a) Create a (no cost) WGA support request at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029 for further support.  Note: I can not guarantee they will be able to resolve the issue any better that I have.

    b) Reinstall Vista - I usually dislike giving Reinstall as an option, but given the Mod-Auth you had at the beginning of the year, the non-genuine office and the current (unknown) Vista issue, I suspect that there is damage to Vista that is now coming to a head. Personally, I would reinstall if it was my computer, if only to insure the OS was working at 100%.

Very sorry I couldn't be more help,
    Darin MS
