Recreate MSCRM_CONFIG database - with out re-installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

IT team unfortunately formatted the DB server of MS CRM and so MS CRM is not working at all.

Can you one please provide the steps to re create the MSCRM_CONFIG database on the new server and point the MS CRM to the new server?

    Thanks in advance

  • Assuming you still have your Organization_MSCRM database... I would  reinstall CRM so the MSCRM_CONFIG database gets recreated and then import the organization database so all the proper data gets created in the config database. Short of restoring from a backup, I don't think you are going to find any scripts or anything to recreate it.

  • Is there any place i can download CONFIG database, so i can work with CRM.

The problem is i do not have admin rights on the AD and if i need to re-install i have to call AD admin for it. Its a very lengthy process :(

    Thanks & Regards

  • Can you spin up a virtual machine (Hyper-V, VM Ware, VirtualBox) on a different computer and do a new install there?
