  • In CRM 2011 it is not support to host a web service within the CRM web site. You can deploy a web service into a separate web site, but you can then have cros-domain issues if you want to call the web service from within the CRM user interface

    As per my understanding you can make the web service calls with the CRM. You can host the Web service in the IIS Manager ,you can add the Web service reference in your code for making calls.

    You can host in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM site also.

  • Just to clarify the last post. In CRM 2011, it is supported, but deprecated, to deploy a custom web service in the ISV folder of the CRM web site. However, the imminent release of CRM 2013 is unlikely to continue to support this, so I'd suggest that you do not host a custom web service within the CRM web site
