    Hi,

     

    How does the incoming mail go to the Lead entity?

     

    I have set up a new user using the email 'leadqueue@website.com + added to Domain admin

    I have also setup in Queues a queue name with the email 'leadqueue@website.com'

     

    I have installed the CRM exchange email router and added the rule deployment wizard.

     

    I am testing the email with a webform & can see the email going to the Queues inside CRM, but from there going nowwhere (i am expecting the data from the email to go to the Lead entity )

     

    Any ideas while it does not work?

  • You can convert an email activity to a lead; however, it does not happen automatically.  If you think about it, an email activity does not have the name, address, company, and other important information that you will want in a lead record in a structured format.  That's why when you hit the convert button on the activity (in 4.0), it allows you to populate these fields.  Otherwise, you would wind up with messy data.

     

    There is an add-on product from c-360 (www.c360.com) that can automatically turn emails into cases in CRM.
