Edge stopped working

    Question

  • I am an older user, with limited computer experience...I got the free update to windows 10 and have been using Microsoft Edge until today. When I initially clicked on it today, it would not open and there was an error message that said it was broken and the administer needed to fix it...I guess I am the administer for my laptop, but have no idea how to even get to it.

I tried to open settings and it would not open either and then when I rebooted, settings opened, but not Microsoft edge and it no longer produces the error message.

I am totally lost on what to do or where to start.  AND if someone can help me, I need detailed instructions that I can follow easily.  Thanks!
