I want quality software RRS feed

  • Question

  • Where is a forum for quality software? I want that Microsoft makes only good software. Bill Gates said - you pay for better software. But I pay and still this is bad. And where should I tell about improvements?

I want better Office, Windows, and programming languages like Visual Studio Express .NET 2010 (especially VB).

And there are many technologies like DirectX - I can't be happy with their implementations. All programs are becoming too big and slow... why? Browsers (like IE, so I use Opera) are always crashing.

  • IE, Office and Windows: answers.microsoft.com.

Visual Studio: You can add a wish list item on connect.microsoft.com, but if you do not want your issue to be outvoted, you probably want to check if your issue is a duplicate, and look for joining discussions on the MSDN forum.

DirectX: It is an interface between drivers (and ultimately the hardware) and programs. Various quality in device drivers/hardware and programs are to be expected. You could have a game that overloads your video card (or less likely, crash) if you turn on full details, or you could have a video card whose driver is simply not stable enough (check if the video card is on Firefox's blacklist). If you have issues with a particular implementation (say an ATI or nVidia card or a particular program), contact the producer.
