Contacts not being created when qualifying a lead RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    We have a user who reports that “Contacts are not being created when a lead is qualified”. I looked into records that she points to and I’m afraid she is correct. 

    And adding to her note Account is created but contact is not created.

    There are no workflows’ or plug-ins’ on contact creation.

    This only happens to few records, but not on all records.

    Does anyone have ever experienced a similar issue?? Are we missing anything??

  • If you know a record that this happens to, temporarily give the user the sys admin security role and have them try again.  This will rule help determine if it is a security role issue.

    You may want to run a platform trace while converting/qualifying a Lead record.  If it is a security role issue, you will see the missing privilege (but there may be more than one).

    This scenario is happening at random times. Most of times contact and account are creating as expected. They are only failing at some random times.

    We are using online CRM.
