Searching msdn by date or version

Question
-
Is there any way to limit search at msdn.microsoft.com by date?
For example is there an option like "Show posts newer than __________" or some way of selecting a software version.
It seems like most of the posts that come up on a search are about 10 years old and are not helpful for what I am looking for.

Hi,
The search function across the forums could really use some work. As it stands, your best option now is to change the Sort selection to 'Most recent post' or 'Most recent thread'.

Where is the sort selection? On http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search (search results) I see "refine your search" checkboxes but nothing to sort, or an advanced search. Is there a different search?Wednesday, October 9, 2013 1:25 PM

Ah, that's a different search than I was talking about. I'm talking about the search box above the forums:

Mike, omit "the search function across" - actually it is the forums over all that could really use some work...Martin
NO THEY ARE NOT EVIL, if you know what you are doing: Good or bad GPOs?
And if IT bothers me - coke bottle design refreshment :))

I know you and I disagree on this, but I honestly think they're getting better. I hate the fact that there are people who I've learned so much from (granted, I've only been frequenting the forums since late March / early April, but still, that's long enough to have found some great folks) who have totally bailed, but I've gotten pretty used to the new design. I've learned enough hacks and workarounds to make it mostly usable.
