    http://website.com

    found: found

you must corrrect this error before proceeding.

I just try using office 2007 to post something to the same website and it worked great, so I'm thinking is an issue with live writer.

  • Yeah i'm getting the same error. Live writer works fine with the MetaweblogAPI when tested on localhost. When the same code is put online Live writer gives network error while MS Office 2007 connects nicely.

BTW where is the Live writer log files stored

  • I wish that was the case. I double checked it after your problem.

  • Can you try disabling any third-party firewalls or download managers you may have installed, to see if that makes a difference? Or at least add an exception for WindowsLiveWriter.exe?

  • I also have this "... metaweblog.aspx" - "Found: Found" error when trying to connect to a SharePoint blog that uses Forms Based Authentication (FBA).
If I change authentication mode in IIS, then there is no problem.
    I haven't set a proxy.

I think the problem is somewhere with FBA, and with redirecting to login.aspx.
