TiVo Publisher for WHS Add-in RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I've added TiVo Publisher to my exisitng WHS network. Because I had a previously installed the TiVo Desktop software, I disabled the TiVo Beacon service and stopped the TiVo server.  I have been able to launch the TiVo Pub add-in, as indiacted by ability to query the service and view the log within the WHS environment.  However, the Client list does not populate.  (I've opened the specified ports, dropped my firewall, etc. - all to no avail.

Any suggestions to resolve my problem?

  • Steve,

If the Client list does not populate, then that is because the beacon packets aren't being sent and/or received. That would indicate that port 2190 is not open on your WHS box. When you open the port, make sure you open it on your WHS box, not on the clients. Also 2190 should be a UDP port.

The instructions to open the ports are on my website here:

    Thanks,

    Rob
