Sync Framework supports any protocol over any network ?? RRS feed

    Hi,

     

    Apart from TCP/IP and HTTP protocol which othere protocol are supported by sync framework ??

     

    Also would like to know which all network are supported, does that refer to LAN, WAN, Internet etc ??

  • Hi Parag,

     

    The sync framework does not define any transport protocol to be used to transfer data and metadata. That siad, you can use any transport technology that you could be already using in your application. For example, sockets, web services, WCF, RPC, mailslots, email (SMTP), named pipes ..etc are possible options.

     

    As for the network, what you said is correct. In addition, the framework does not put requirement on the network topology meaning connection between nodes in the network.
