CRM Not getting alerts for Appointments and Service Activities RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi..

I am using crm web application. I didn't install crm outlook client and only using crm web to send emails and other stuf.
Every time I contact a lead I create a followup for that particular lead. But I am not getting any popups or alerts for those followups.

So, I tried to create an appointment and a service activity in my calendar.
Even for these things I didn't get any alerts which we commonly see in outlook.

Do we get those alerts by using only crm web application???
Or do we need crm outlook client installed?

If we don't need crm outlook client then why am I not getting any alerts for those calendars???
Should I need to do anything more?
Could any one please help me out???

    -Thanks
     Dinesh.

  • You are not getting alerts because the alerts you see in Outlook are Outlook alerts, not CRM alerts.

The CRM web application has no native mechanism for alerting users.

  • Hi Dineesh,

CRM Webclient  wont pop up any alerts for the Activities. The alerts are possible only when you use CRM through Outlook.
The outlook when it gets synchronized with crm generated the Reminders/alerts based on the Activities created.

If you really want to get alerts you can easily get bt integrating with Outlook.
    Thanks, Aarch
