CRM Toolbar Missing in Outlook Client RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been using CRM 4.0 for Outlook (laptop) version for sever months.  However, something recently happened and the CRM toolbar is no where to be found in Outlook.  The CRM folder structure is still there and I can access the forms with no problem.

I did a CRM 4.0 for Outlook repair and it completed successfully (and rebooted just in case).  Still no CRM toolbar.

Is there a registry setting or something that needs to be cleared?

    Thanks.

  • Try the CRM Outlook Diagnostic Wizard, it is in the CRM Outlook folder of the client PC.

  • Thanks.  That was the fix.  I somehow had forgotten about the diagnostic wizard.  I always remember it now!

  • We're experiencing the same issue in our office.  We have reconfigured CRM, and the toolbar is still missing.  It started with the "Track in CRM" option missing from emails in Outlook.  We reconfigured to try to correct the issue, and now the CRM Toolbar and CRM dropdown menus are missing.  The CRM Folder structure is still available from Outlook.

We attempted to use the Diagnostic Wizard, it told us that an add-in had been disable - I clicked the "Fix it" button, and it worked.  When I reopen Outlook, nothing has changed.  CRM toolbars are still missing.

I've ran the Diagnostic Wizard twice and keep getting the same result.  Any suggestions?

  • I have exactly the same probelm. Have deinstalled the client, then reinstalled. After reinstalling, the toolbar was there but the option for tracking emails was still not back. Then applied UR7 and am back to no toolbar and no track in CRM option.

Diagnostic wizard reports the same error over and over:

"You have recently used a different Outlook profile than the one Microsoft Dynamics CRM has been configured for. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM add in-in will be enabled only for the profile it was configured for."

I have only one profile (not the default name). I am running Windows 7 x64 and Office 2007 SP2

  • Same Problem here - after UR7, the outlook-integration is defect.

  • Can anybody give some hint here please?
@philbizfr: Did you solve your problem?

  • We were unable to correct the issue by using only the Diagnostic Wizard.  We did a complete uninstall of the computer, and re-installed the program.  This appeared to correct our issue.

  • After RU7 we too are haivng the same issue on a select few machines.  You can see the bar appear for a split second then it's gone.

We have even tried uninstalling then reinstalling to no avail.

  • Seems as though many people are running into this problem. I am as well. It is not related to 64/32 bit. Mine is happening on a Win7 32 install with Office 2010 with all latest udpates. Tried both the .53 and .583 versions of Outlook client. Still getting this problem. It happens to different users (on same machi). Uninstall and reinstall does not fix it.

    CRM 2011, On-Premise, latest release.

The web client runs fine ad as expected on the same machine.

    Any other ideas out there?

  • How we resolved this was by wiping the machine and using an install with no rollups.  However it seems if you get the latest client install with RU?15? slipstreamed, we no longer have the issue
