Custom Plugins - debugging/diagnosing and logging errors RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am using mscrm 4.0 and .net 3.5

    I have written a custom plugin, which i add as a step in one of my workflows.

    It is currently erroring, and i cant get any decent error  message out of crm.

    I created a new view on the system jobs, that returns the message.  But that is just a generic soap exception.

    So what is the best way to debug/diagnose errors in your custom plugins?

    I tried writing to the event log, but this did not seem to write any messages to the event log.

    How does everyone else do it!?
