Links to e-mail contacts don't work in chrome, anyone else running into this?

  User is viewing dynamics crm 2013 on premise using the latest version of chrome

  When viewing a contact form, they click on the contact's e-mail address and nothing happens.  It should open an e-mail message with their default e-mail program, but it doesn't.  It works fine in IE. 

  has anyone else ran into this issue?
