WinRAR help! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have WinRAR and when I went to extract a 3.75 GB file, it said it had an error at like 90% and it didn't finish extracting. I can't find the extracted material anywhere. It's taken up like 3.2 GB of my space and I want it back. I can't find the extracted material in the folder where I extracted too or the recycle bin or anywhere.. HELP!

  • I think that space was not actually consumed. It is extracted into a temporary location.when an error occurs it would be deleted.so dont worry.

  • Search for temp files created recently and u'll probably find this 3.2 GB file among those , delete it...

If else, search for all files that are greater than 1 GB, u'll find it.. Now delete it...

  • Hi friend right click on the .rar file which u want to extract and choose the option as Extract To
it will ask  u the location where u want to extract the files and folder ..

Before this make sure u have the enough space in the partition or drive....atleast twice then the actual size of the file..
