  • Uconn92,

Now try a phone activation.  You will get the automated system first, try that---if it says there is a problem, choose the option to talk with a live rep, they will ask you questions to make sure you are using XP Home properly, then they will activate it.

  • Uconn92,

Which product key is being bounced as being used too many times, the one that came with father's computer or the one that originally came with your computer?

  • Uconn92,

How about trying to use the Product Key Updater Utility to apply the original product key that came with your computer back onto your computer?

Make sure your antivirus and firewall programs are set to allow the updater utility to have full access to the interent.
